Catheter teething problems

by Wayne
(Australia)

Hi Ron
Can perhaps scar tissue in urethra or some other reason cause sensitivity and some pain inserting. It is taking ages to do it. Does it become easier?
Also prior to catheter I was urinating ok but backing up in bladder occurred. Now no urine seems to flow without the catheter inserted. Will things settle do you think so urine can flow again?

--------------

Ron here...

You may have to see a urologist as it is possible you have an infection. A urine test should help answer that.

As to why you are blocked, you need more information. Is it temporary? Is it caused by an enlarged prostate, prostatitis or possibly rising PSA, or a temporary infection?

Also please read up on Personal Testing to see if any foods or supplements are triggering a reaction.
