Prostatitis Treatment

The conventional prostatitis treatment is usually with antibiotics. In some cases, it is treated with the same meds or surgeries that are used to treat an enlarged prostate with all the same risks associated with that treatment.

In the case of nonbacterial prostatitis, treatments may include anti-inflammatory medications or muscle relaxants, hot baths, sitz baths, drinking extra water, relaxing when urinating (easier said than done when pain is present), and ejaculating frequently to remove toxins from the prostate (the most fun treatment so far!).

As with BPH, an enlarged prostate, the pain of prostatitis can be quite severe at times. Antibiotics will weaken your immune system, may not solve the problem, and could lead to different conditions and further antibiotic attempts. In addition, after taking antibiotics the condition may easily reoccur. If you do take antibiotics for your prostatitis condition, then be sure to make changes to also rebuild your immune system so that your prostatitis does not become chronic.

The 3DProstateClinic as shown in the diagram below has treated very advanced chronic prostatitis conditions without surgery using targeted precision medicines. The clinic is for real and I have seen many patients walk away cured.

Side Effects of Conventional Prostatitis Treatment

Treatment for prostatitis sometimes uses BPH meds and/or surgeries with all the same consequences of:

  • major discomfort to pain;
  • possible incontinence to impotence and sexual difficulties, including retrograde ejaculation (no ejaculate comes out the penis — it goes back into the bladder); and
  • often the treatment will need to be repeated at a future date with scarring occurring with each attempt, which makes each procedure less successful and exacerbates the side effects.

If you follow your urologist's advice, he will play down the side effects of BPH medications like Flomax, Avodart, and Finasteride (trademarked by Merck under the name Proscar). So what aren’t they telling you? Just take a look at the list of side effects.

Partial list of side effects of BPH drugs (from standard medical literature):

  • breast enlargement or tenderness
  • abnormal ejaculation or none
  • decreased sex drive
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • fatigue
  • impotence
  • no erections
  • diarrhea
  • back pain
  • sore throat
  • decreased libido
  • itching
  • hives
  • difficulty breathing or swallowing, wheezing
  • unexplained skin rash
  • erectile dysfunction

Why are these drugs allowed to be sold? Because they are profitable. (Watch this video for more.)

Many people accept the risks and try these conventional procedures. It was not my choice. I decided it was much more important to address the causes and make changes so that my overall health improved and my prostate symptoms eased as a result.

This is a major choice for you, dear reader! How do you want to live? Do you want to surrender to the medical profession that pays no attention to other modalities and alternative ways of healing, writing them off as valueless?

Other Options for Treating Prostatitis

My take on prostatitis is that as with any infection, if the host is weak, then bacteria can take hold causing infection. The best course is to build up the immune system by avoiding poor quality foods and other toxic inputs. Cleanse, improve the diet and exercise more to increase circulation. A strong immune system will make it very hard for infectious bacteria to find a home in the prostate.

As with all prostate diseases, the message your body is sending is that something is not right! One of the best ways of treating prostate infection and getting natural prostatitis treatments, is by making some serious lifestyle changes, especially in your diet. In my book, Healthy Prostate, I go into great depths to provide you with information on diet.

Changing your habits and lifestyle will bring permanent relief. While this may seem daunting at first, the benefits to your overall health and energy are worth the changes. There are also many hidden benefits, and I describe them further in my book.

Prostate Massage for Prostatitis: If you haven't tried prostate massage for prostatitis treatments then I would suggest you try it. Prostate massage increases the blood flow to your prostate. This allows more flushing out of toxins and irritants.

The best massager for this purpose in my opinion is the Sonic Prostate Massager. It is easy to use and insert. It is fast taking less than 2 minutes once inside because of the sonic vibrations. This is not a sex toy as many massagers can be. It is designed by a doctor who was suffering and he built it just for this purpose.

So check it all out on his site below:

Later, I will have more information on this website about diet and cleansing as well. Stay tuned for those links!
