Catheter is moving in and out of my penis.

by Sammy Riley
(Minden, La)

I had my appendix removed three days ago and I'm starting to worry because the catheter has came back out an inch. Is there something on the end inside my bladder that will keep it from coming all the way out or should I go to the emergency room. It keeps moving in and out of my penis but not alot of pain involved. What should I do because I'm very nervous and worried.

Assuming they put in a foley catheter, it will not come out. Some movement inwards is fine. The small balloon at the end of the catheter inside the bladder keeps it from coming out.

If you are able to release urine into your urine bag then all is well.
