Tumor on Testicle removed

My husband had a tumor on left testicle, had surgery to have it removed, years later prostate cancer comes, my question did the tumor have any connection to the prostate years later,the tumor was benign, but could small cancerous cells have spread to prostate....

In my opinion, the conditions that created the testicle tumor would be the same as that which led to prostate cancer.
