self catheterization

I have been on a Foley catheter for 5 months due to retention that led to kidney stress. I am about to begin self catheterization With hopes that the supplements I am taking will have some affect on my prostate. I am under the impression that the Foley is creating swelling of the urethra and that SC will allow the urethra a chance to break swelling and allow the prostrate more room to heal. I am not a doctor and don't assume to know enough to make an educated decision. I feel that there are other ways to handle this than to operate. Am I on the right track?

Ron here...

I am not a doctor like you. Just sharing my experience. I would work with your doctor to do the experiments you want to try.

That said, I doubt supplements alone will do very much in my experience. All the causes of your condition must be addressed and that is what I describe in my books. Making optimum dietary choices is crucial, and personally testing all your food and supplement inputs ensures only what your body needs is taken, and others that harm you are avoided.

If your kidneys are not functioning properly, retention of urine could be dangerous, so removing the Foley catheter needs to be done carefully under the supervision of your doctor so that self catheterization intermittently if needed to urinate will be safe for you.
Hope this helps!

Ron
